Yeang Ta, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. Yeang Ta was born on December 20th, 1958 in Kandal province of Cambodia. His father, Khang Ta, and mother, Tein Hao, were both Chinese immigrants. In 1984 Yeang came to America and settled in Houston, TX. Eventually he moved up to Dallas, TX in 1987. He met his wife, Siner Chheoung, in 1989; they were married the following year, 1990. They welcomed their first child, Henley, in 1991; their second child, Henderson, in 1992. Their last child, Harrison, arrived in 1994.

Yeang was known as a hardworking and passionate man. He strived to provide for his family and indeed they all had a great life. Everyone who met him were left with the memories of a great father, husband and dear friend. The lessons he taught us about life, family, dedication and hard work will live on through us, which we will pass onto others.

He was active in the Cambodian community, attended the Dallas Buddhist Temple frequently, and stayed over nights during their big events. He committed his free time to teaching languages to the younger generations. Yeang is fondly remembered as the individual who would start dancing at the big celebrations. He was always happiest when surrounded by loved ones.

Yeang is survived by his wife, Siner, and three sons, Henley, Henderson, and Harrison. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 I-35E, Carrollton, TX 75006.
